You will need to flash the pcm make sure your tool is on line since the calibrations
are on autel server click on auto detect vin the programming option will show click on
programming and follow steps when done do a vtd relearn if you don't have any data
bus line issue they will communicate with eachother good luck

yes used pcm is the same procedure but i don't know how far back you can go on your tool   but for sure on tisweb  acdelcotds.com you can do it just install the windows driver for your maxiflash pro on a laptop  you can flash any gm from 1992 to the present year 55 dollars for  2 days you can flash all the gm vehicles  you like. the windows driver for your tool can be downloaded  from this website  good luck

I am not sure on this however once a pcm has a vin number already burned into it you cannot use it on another vehicle.
I have heard this somewhere along my years of travel.See maybe if you can cofirm this.Or maybe both have to have the same vin # burned in them.

                                                      Good Luck

no that is not true you can rewrite pcm vins as many times as you like, the only thing you can't do its write the same calibration,  you can take a gm pcm and install it on any other gm vehicle as long as the connectors are the same and rewrite the vin for that vehicle do the vtd  and thats it, i have done this procedures a million time rewriting vin its what its all about, the same goes for all american cars and many asian and europeans as well, the vin rewrite part of it,  some   pcm are vehicle specific for some other makes like ford and chrysler you can't just install one that fits it needs to be for that specific vehicle same part number.
